Hey guys.. Greetings from Shanghai. Haha. Promised to update my blog regularly while I'm here.....

Probably wouldn't be able to upload the photos i took wit the camera v soon.. Cos i need a SD ready to do that, and I don't think my com has one.. So would probably have to wait for quite some time. At most 10weeks.. :p

Not really doing anything in office actually.. Just teaching Eng to some of the nurses and customer service ppl. The health centre's supposed to be 5star and super luxurious and all that; but not really impressed la... haha.. Maybe by the price of the checks la.. haha.. they can go up to 5 figures lor..

We went sightseeing with my boss on Sunday, but I'll just photoblog on that la.. Else it'll be quite mundane.

Don't have much complains.. except abt my bed.... Hehe.. having a hard time slping at night cos the bed's too hard. I want to buy a mattress!!!

I think I promised to photoblog as I was too lazy to verbal blog about what had happened. And I have not updated for almost a month, not bcos there's nothing happening in my life, I just feel lazy la..

Okay, that's abt all that happened for my cls.. Lots of lost photos here and there, esp photos of my event. But, no choice.

Sacrifice

The topic of Sacrifice came up during bible study on Sunday. What do you understand by sacrifice? Some said it's giving up sth u hold dear unwillingly as how can giving up sth willingly be sacrificing? Priscilla disagreed to that tho.

Me too. At first I was thinking that sacrificing should be willing. If you're giving up sth unwillingly, it simply means u're forced to do so. Just think of all the ppl that we associate sacrifices with. Jesus, Mother Theresa, mothers in general... The list goes on. Every one of them sacrificed their life and time willingly. They had a choice, and they chose to sacrifice.

Then I thought it over, and decided that we need not be so nit-picky when understanding what sacrifice is. Regardless of it being willing or unwilling, sacrifices are made for love, gratitude or appreciation. Who would give up sth they hold dear for somebody, or for a cause they do not care about?

I have not blogged for abt 3weeks, sort of a record for me..

Anyway, many things have happened over the past weeks. The final dash for our event, the event itself, settling of the accounts for ticket sales, debriefing, band inauguration, the other grp's event, the other project deadlines and finally, yday's cls party. I feel really lazy to talk abt everything that has happened, I'll probably just photoblog abt them. Just hafta wait till I get the pics. Might have to wait quite long though.

I am so tired! Have not felt so lethargic in a long while, and truth speaking, it's feels sort of good, though all I want to do now is to fall into bed and sleep.

Went to Pulau Ubin this morning for SIT proj field trip, and after cycling for most of 4hrs, my butt hurt, I had bruises on my knees, and ant bites and dirt all over my leg. Sort of complaining now, but the trip was good. The experience and all. I would never ever do this on a regular basis, but it was fun la. If only cycling didn't make butts hurt..

Last week was a good one.. Only went back to sch on Thurs, which shows how slack I was. Haha. Before the hols started I was worried abt having to work on the projs throughout the 3 weeks, but now, less than 20% of my time is spent on them. Haha.

Anyway, went out quite a number of times last week. Went to eat cheese fondue with my cousins n sis on Tues. Haha, finally got to eat that, super shiok. The swiss cheese and mushroom pasta was also great. But the prices there are too high for me to go regularly la, so it'll be an occasional luxury for me. Haha. Swiss Culture in Suntec City, if you want to treat me to sth then we'll go there k? Haha.

On Wed, went shopping at Great World with my parents cos my Dad didn't work last week. Spent quite a lot there and went to the Zion Road hawker to eat.

Thurs, went to sch then back home to slp, and ordered pizza for dinner with my sis. Heh. My parents went to JB that day, so didn't have dinner, you see.....

Friday, went gym, tuition, then out to East Coast with my family and relatives for dinner.

Saturday was busy. Went to Flo's hse, then rushed to church for worship prac, then back home cos my mother cooked crab porridge and beef kway teow. Yum yum! haha. My relatives were coming down too.

Basically, last week was filled with food. Haha. Must eat lighter stuff this week...... haha.

Anyway, when school starts, or perhaps even when next week starts, I'll be super busy. With everything. At school there's projs and deadlines, and tests! At church, the church's revision prog is starting and I volunteered to teach Chi every Tues for 10wks. I'll be starting next week. Thinking abt it now, my decision was sort of rash, but a promise is a promise made. And it's one to God, so.... The band's inauguration is in mid-July, so we need to practice for that. See? Busy busy busy. Almost everything's happening in July.

Recently I read a book. And it enlightened me abt a lot of stuffs. My emotions are sort of fluctuating now; when I'm with ppl, I'm okay and can laugh and everything. But when I'm alone, and I start thinking, start feeling, I begin to feel sad. Hope it's just a phase now.

My previous entry was full of complaints. In the space of one day, I'm full of hope again. Haha. Serious. My prayers were answered.

Went to Settlers' Cafe to discuss promoting through them. And they agreed very readily, and were really optimistic abt the response. I guess they should be, 'cos this isn't the first time they're doing sth like that. It is such a HUGE load off our shoulders that I felt so much happier after the meeting. I still do not think well of our clients, but that's besides the point.

Anyway, I'll have 2 days off next week, Mon and Tues. So hopefully I can make full use of them before pia-ing projects from Wed onwards.

I feel like whining. Seriously, I do.

I just feel so depressed abt the event my grp is organising. This is the first time I've felt so abt a project. We have dozens have things not done yet, and most importantly, we are short of more than 40 teams of participants with the Prelims less than a mth away. I just don't feel like doing anything, because I'm so fustrated, and fed-up and feel like giving up. Denise says she wishes that the days can be forwarded till 24th July when the event ends, but I just feel like scrapping the entire thing off. That's how sick I am of it.

I'm not in the mood to have anything to do with the event, don't even feel like meeting the clients tmr because I don't know what st**id ideas she'll spout off again. No wonder they want us to organise the event for them so much. I do wonder how things would have turned out if we only had the National Day Dinner to organise.

Anyway, you know how people like to say that in real life things will be much worse? I'm thinking, can I just continue studying? Or live off somebody? Have a rich distant relative who dies and leaves me with all the inheritance? Just thinking abt having to face all these problems turns me off the society. Esp the working society.

I have been slacking at home the past few days since I came back from church camp. Going online, reading, watching tv.. Everything, except work. I didn't do much when I went to sch on Thurs and Fri either. One week of the 3 weeks break, gone...

Have been away in Malaysia for the past 2 days for church camp. Went down in the evening on Monday after my test in the morn. But I missed quite a lot of things, cos the camp actually starts on Sun, but cos I had my ONE SINGLE paper on Monday morning, I could only go down on Monday evening.

But, I had fun la. Haha. But the group was quite small this yr, cos most of the youths couldn't make it. If not, it'll be even crazier. Anyway, learned this new game there. It's German, and we didn't understand a single word on it. Hah. It's a trading game of beans, and it's really fun. But the thing is, we played it in the middle of the night, when brain power was like down to 2 or 3, so I played till quite sian la.

The closing service was especially poignant, cos Stanley, an intern at our church will be leaving us in July. And he has really been a blessing to us, esp to the youths. He really has a talent for that. Just hope that Isaac and him can pull off the Youth Camp.

Actually, I went to the church camp worrying abt the event my grp is organising. One very impt aspect of the event is missing. AIYA!! feel so reluctant to work on it, and we still have 3 other projs to work on..

I've not told anybody before that as I didn't want to make any explanations abt why I'm called Garfield; but I've since "seen through the red dust". To keep the long story short, it's cos of my expression everytime I look at my manager when he says sth stupid and lame. Haha. Anyway, with Corrin Nicole Goh Suet Mei as my colleague cum clsmate, it didn't stay a secret long. She blast it all over cls the first day of sch last sem. Haha.

Went to settlers after sch on Fri with my CEM grp members. It was crazy and fun la. I think we played a total of 5 or 6 games in abt 3 hrs. Haha.

Anyway, on my way home, my student called me and asked me if I was going down for tuition. Haha. I actually forgot that I had tuition that day. So I told her I'll be late for abt half an hr. Stupid la.

I don't like going out with my sis. Esp if we have to dress up. Cos if we had said to leave the hse at 1 plus, she'll still be putting her makeup at 2. So what la. Haha. Can be so irritating stms.

I'm v tired. Don't know why though. Have been so since don't know when. Taking 2hr naps, though I slp for avg 7hrs everynight and I don't really dream nowadays. Hmm.... Sian.

Talking abt dreams, some night last week, I dreamt abt sth which I think means something. No particular reason why I think it means sth, but I just think it did. Haha. Maybe cos it just came out of the blue.

Long story, but all in all, we had derived from her emails that we were chosen, but it turned out that we ere only shortlisted. Kookoo la. But alright. Anyway, we had the 2nd round of presentation today with the executive director and it went quite well la. Will let y'all know the results soon k? But I'm not really positive la.
